3 Days Maasai Mara Safari
Kenya's most famous reserve in a short, well-paced getaway: big-cat game drives, vast open plains and a sundowner on the savannah.
If you have a week and want to see it all, this is the one. Start with the pink-fringed shores of Lake Nakuru, spend three nights in the Maasai Mara for the best big-cat viewing in Africa, and finish in Amboseli among the elephants.
The itinerary is paced so every park gets the time it deserves — with comfortable lodges and a driver-guide who knows where the animals are.
Drive north-west through the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary for both black and white rhino. Afternoon game drive along the lake shore.
A morning game drive in Nakuru, then continue to the Maasai Mara. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive.
Full day of game drives with picnic lunch. In season, search for river crossings along the Mara River.
Another day to explore at your own pace — optional balloon safari at dawn, Maasai village visit, or a bush breakfast.
Drive back to Nairobi and continue south to Amboseli (or take an optional flight) and settle into your lodge below Kilimanjaro.
A full day among Amboseli's great elephant herds with Kilimanjaro rising behind them.
A final game drive and the drive back to Nairobi, arriving mid-afternoon.
